1. General information
The subject and its expected results respond to the following general objectives:
1) To know the general theoretical and methodological foundations of psychopathology.
2) To obtain the specific terminology of psychopathology.
3) To understand the epistemological importance of classifications and their criticisms.
4) To know the new transdiagnostic approaches in psychopathology
5) To know and identify the main altered processes.
6) To understand the role of psychopathology in the field of clinical psychology and general psychology.
7) To know how to describe and explore abnormal behaviour.
These objectives are aligned with the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the University of Zaragoza: Goal 3: Health and wellness.

2. Learning results
In order to pass the subject, the student must be able to demonstrate the knowledge achieved in the basic concepts related to psychopathology, its explanatory models, the main research methodology about psychopathology and the characteristics of the most important classification systems, together with their criticisms and most recent approaches (e.g., transdiagnostic).
Students must́ demonstrate, in turn, an adequate knowledge of the different alterations of psychological processes: basic concepts, classifications, differentiation from other psychopathologies and explanatory models.
Finally, students should be able to correctly identify the altered processes, specify the specific alterations and justify them in a clinical case study by means of a psychopathogram.

4. Academic activities
1. Explanatory class*: 30 h (3 ECTS)

5. Assessment system
Students must demonstrate that they have achieved the intended learning results through the following assessment activities.
1. There will be a test consisting of two parts: the first part will include an objective test of 30 questions with three alternative answers on the contents of the program, with a maximum grade of 6. (Correction formula: Right answers-(Wrong answers/N-1). The second will consist of a psychopathogram of a practical case that will grade up to a maximum of 4. Both parts must be passed (from 3 and 2 upwards respectively) in order to obtain the average grade of the exam.
2. The content of the syllabus can be developed on the basis of the basic bibliography, as well as the complementary explanations of the teacher. Consequently, the contents taught may also be subject to examination, as long as they are in accordance with the contents expressed in the syllabus..
3. *All the students will have the right to a global evaluation of all the contents of the subject in which they will be able to opt for the highest grade.
